A group of magpies is called a charm. Even though magpies tend to be solitary birds, they group in small flocks during non-breeding seasons and their call has a chattering sound.

Queer Birders London is all mostly comformed by happy amateurs looking to learn more about birds. It is a non-hierarchical space, in that we are just a group of people who like birds, not a set organisation / formal group. No one leads, has to organise all the trips or is ‘the expert’. It relies on all of us to suggest when / where we’d like to go birding and to then organise a meeting point. We all have a hand in creating queer community. Bird chat(ering) is always welcome, we enjoy sharing pictures, news, memes and bird facts.
